The point of these Ride & Run sessions is cross training and conditioning but with a purpose. I have been kicking around the idea of a Triathlon .... The Nautica South Beach Triathlon. Why South Beach? Why not?! But more importantly the beneficiary of that particular race is St Judes Childrens Hospital. Zak D. the son of our good friends Tim & Jennifer, a classmate of my daughter and all around amazing human being was treated here during his battle with DIPG, a particularly vicious form of brain cancer. I would like to raise money to help to support the research necessary to treat and eventually cure DIPG so that we don't lose any more great kids like Zak. Training with a purpose....Support me ..beat DIPG! So that having been said... I really love riding this bike! I am not really adapted to it yet but I thoroughly enjoy the time I am spending on my bike. I am not enjoying the saddle however...A quick trip to the sporting goods store for proper bike shorts with sufficient padding and maybe a padded seat cover? Also I need to start learning more about what is required for triathlon cycling..and I have to get the swimming worked in here. I can do some pool training but the race is swum in the ocean a totally different animal....so much to learn but really exciting Activity
