This is ugly. It felt ugly, and it proved to be. I don't understand why I felt so tight. I took Monday completely off and I fueled up well...or at least I thought I had...my entire left side from the hip down ached or burned or cramped...I felt like I was dragging...So what do you do when you're having a rough run? Extend it of course... I veered left onto the longest section of the Deep Woods trail to add about an extra 1/2 mi. to the total usual run. I'm gonna have bad days so i am not really that frustrated. I am however suspect of my ability to complete the 7mi. trail run I have planned for Thursday in Ithaca. The 10th Annual Forge the Gorgeous 7-Mile Trail Run June 24, 2010—6:00 pm is sponsored by the Finger Lakes Running Club and is held at Fillmore Glen State Park on Route 38 just south of Moravia NY. I really want to complete this as the trail is more difficult than the Lake Loop and thus more of a challenge. However based on my current state....I may just run the untimed unofficial first loop which is 3.5mi. No matter what it'll be a great day as the whole family is going up at Noon to spend the day in celebration of the last official day of the school year! If you have nothing going on come and join us!
