Thursday

So I didn't get to go running this morning before it got Waaaaay too hot and my phone got waaaaay too annoying so I figured I would run in the evening.

But it's Wednesday..............

So what you say? Wednesday means that my wife and my son need to get to the church by about 6:45...my daughter needs to be dropped off at her mothers house at 7:30 and my wife and son need to be picked back up at 8:15...............

Wednesday night is NOT the time to shoe horn in a run...which is EXACTLY why I did..
This is Pt. 1 of that run. I decided to stick fairly close to the house and by the time I got everyone safely delivered, got changed and hit the street I had 35 minutes .....so good decision on my part. This run takes us down by "the creek" a place my daughter hangs out on the summer...and then winds around by our original apartment here in Fulton and then winds up back at the house. Man this run felt good. I didn't really burn it up but something was really right about this run. As I neared my house I glanced down at my watch and saw that I had enough time to extend the run out to 2mi. but just as I started up the block past our house my phone rang (I had to leave it on in case the family needed an early pick-up or there was a change in schedule!) Grrrrrr! But it was a client for a wedding so I paused to chat. I mentioned that I was out running and she indicated that where she was it was far to hot and muggy....I guess that was what made me pause and consider the weather,,,it was dusk....there was a nice breeze and the air was a cool comfortable late spring evening...that had a lot to do with how this run felt...

The phone call precluded any possible additional running and I leapt into the truck and charged off to round up the family....just short of 2mi.....Grrrrrrr! I resolved right then and there that I would go out one more time that night...I am so glad that I did....
