Friday

After a quick but necessary stop for business I headed back to the Lake...I really was looking forward to this run...after having been running on concrete and blacktop I wanted to get back to the trails...the chipmunks....the peace of the Lake.....

I noticed that my knees really were taking it tough this morning. I assume it is a combination of the previous nights run and a problem that I spotted with my shoes...they had begun to slant inward...as if I was sliding off of the soles...and my feet feel like they are sliding a bit inside the shoe....something to check out....
the run was great and not so great like they all are....I am enjoying it though...I pressed pretty hard for the beginning of the trail which has the steepest elevation change and I am happy with the result....I wish I had consciously decided to maintain the pace til I was exhausted or finished but I intentionally pulled back after the first mi. and it was all downhill (not literally! LOL!) from there....

I think I see a trip to Fleet Feet in my immediate future...stay tuned...no more scheduled running til Monday...Yes Memorial Day...so I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend!!!!
